Geneva Moravian Fellowship

The Geneva Moravian fellowship is part of the worldwide Moravian Church, Unitas Fratrum, which was founded on March 1, 1457, in present day Czech Republic. Following a spiritual renewal in Herrnhut Germany in 1722, the movement spread to parts of Europe, including Switzerland, and across the globe. It was in 1757 that Count Zinzendorf, the leader of the renewed Moravian Church, visited Geneva. The Geneva Moravian fellowship is an English-speaking Protestant ministry that was started on December 1, 2019. At present, it comprises global and ecumenical community.

Sunday, 1 November, 15:00h Thanksgiving Service to mark the Independence of St Vincent and the Grenadines (27 Oct), Antigua and Barbuda (1 Nov), Commonwealth of Dominica (3 Nov). Ms. Kamila Bell, Chargée d'affaires of the Permanent Mission of Dominica and Co-Chair of CARICOM in Geneva will bring the greetings.
Sunday, 15 November, 15:00h, Service to mark the 60th anniversary of independence and 5 years as a Republic of Barbados. The Honourable Colin Jordan, Minister of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector, will be in Geneva and will bring Independence greetings.
Sunday, 29 November, 15:00h, Thanksgiving Service to mark 51 years of independence of Suriname. The Ambassador and staff of the Permanent Mission will be in attendance.

Bible Study

Our Bible Study has resumed and will continue until 6 December. It is held every Wednesday 7:30pm/19h30(Swiss), 1:30 (EST/AST). The topic is: Love and Desire: A Study in the Book of the Songs of Solomon. I belong to my beloved, and his desire is for me. Solomon 7:10. Our Bible study will begin with 15 minutes of prayer. Ecumenical Relations

From the beginning of the English-speaking Moravian work in Geneva, we have been both an ecumenical and global community. At the end of 2021 we began to establish some relations with students at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey.During this we had some of the students visiting with us for Sunday worship.
